Teach and Tell

Bible Distribution – Greece – July 2012

Thanks for your prayers and encouragement. Win and I arrived in Greece on Tuesday afternoon (17/07/12) and received a phone call to say Win’s mum had just passed into Glory about an hour earlier. Although it is difficult, especially for Win to not be home with her family at this time she is feeling determined to stay and continue with the outreach as a memorial to her mum. She feels certain this is what her mum would have wanted. Outreach is going well. Around 60 teams; 333 people; in 1st 3 days have placed more than 43,000 bibles in homes in 350 villages. Mileage of all the cars came to more than 30,000 klm. Temps have been around 30 so isn’t killing us yet but taking care with fluids & sunburn & blisters to not overdo it. We are both really enjoying it. Yesterday our whole team was apprehended by the police for nearly 2 hours! But don’t be alarmed “He who is with us is greater than he that is against us”. We are right in the area of Paul the Apostle’s journeys into Macedonia and count it a privilege to experience a little of what Paul went through to bring the Gospel to Europe. Win especially loved the free ride in the Police car to the station and thought how Paul was probably dragged and beaten – (we are not far from ancient Philippi). We too sang and praised the Lord on the way home in the van and counted it a privilege to “suffer in a small way” for the Gospel’s sake. Love to you all. D&W
